"Even acneic skin needs hydration, and this blemish-busting, light-as-air gel moisturizer works to absorb excess oil while delivering just the right amount of moisture to keep skin feeling and looking balanced and clear. It also works to perfect oily or acne-prone skin, helping to clear impurities and smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles."

Oily skin is a skin type. Just like dry skin, normal skin, sensitive skin and combination skin are also different skin types. Your skin type is mainly determined by genetics but hormones can also play a role.

If you want to blame anyone for having oily skin, blame your sebaceous glands. They are the oil producing glands found in your pores. When your oil glands produce too much oil, you get oily skin therefore using an oil-based moisturizer is not a good idea. It's going to cause more harm then good. You will struggle with clogged pores, acne and you'll have even oilier skin.

Investing in an oil-free moisturizer when your skin type is "oily skin" is the best investment you'll ever make.
